Number Theory for a Twelve Year Old

On March 29, 2009, I gave a brief lecture,under fifteen minutes in length, in an attempt to introduce a twelve-year old to number theory. The dinner hour was approaching, so I knew I had only a few minutes. We spent most of the time on mathematical induction, proving a basic identity.
